One of the entry Point Project (EPP) under Greater Kuala Lumpur / Klang Valley Project is urban Mass Rapid Transit System (MRT)
Last Friday, one of programme of Radio 988
The area has been included as heritage site under Kuala Lumpur Master plan 2020
On Sunday(yesterday), Malaysia Insider has reported that the shop owner has received compulsory acquisition notice.
One of the expert comment on the Radio 988
It is unfotunate that Kuala Lumpur do not have NGO like Penang Heritage Trust or Perak Heritage Society to promote movement of preserving heritage building. The compulsory acquisition notice also contradict with EPP72 Creating iconic places and attraction (EPP7 of Greater KL/KV development), EPP71 Creating comprehensive pedestrian network (EPP8 of Greater KL/KV development) and EPP69 Revitalising the Klang River into a heritage and commercial district (EPP5 of Greater KL/KV development).
I wonder what is the view point of Tourism Minister on this issue?
